H.E. Information Minister stated that there are three formats on RNK under the Demand For Good Governance are talkback program, news bulletins and feature whose substance will meet some of the major characteristics of “Good Governance”: men’s and woman’s participation, transparency, inclusiveness, efficiency and accountability… Talkback program in particular, which allows listeners to call in, and feature will both generate men’s and women’s participation.
They will ask questions and join in the discussions with guest speakers who are government officials, representatives from civil societies and business circle. The programs give priority to women’s, youth’s and the ethnic minorities’ participation, and hold all actors in the governance issues accountable for their decisions to be effectively carried out. The responses, the remarks and the explanation by the quest speakers on their performance and activities will serve as pieces of information about transparency that RNK will make known to the public, especially those are faced with the problems.In his keynote speech, DPM Sar Kheng stated that the Royal Government of Cambodia still continues its work to make good governance at local administrative levels and boost implementation of this socioeconomic policy agenda and firm determination in the reform activities to strengthen the governance quality and sustain high-level economic growth, which are the most obligatory factors for guaranteeing sustainability of development and poverty alleviation.
Through this forum, H.E. Sar Kheng appealed for further active participations by senior leaders of the ministries and departments of the Royal Government to attend as orators in forums to be staged by the Radio National of Kampuchea General Department to share information and enhancing debates and discussions between citizen, civil societies and government through broadcasting public grandstand programs on radio call-in-shows, which enable citizen to gain access to more frequent responses to their requirements to beef up personnel capacities and enlarge dissemination throughout the remote provinces
