Cambodian Information Minister H.E Khieu Kanharith presides over here this Monday morning the Opening Ceremony of Spokesperson Training for Cambodian Military and Police Officers which were jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and the US Embassy here.
In his opening keynote remarks, H.E Khieu Kanharith asked all the trainees to study hard over the duty of “spokesperson” and recommended the trainees to seek more explanations from the trainer in case of unclear as the trainer used to be a “military spokeswoman”.
He said that the spokesperson is a closest colleague to the decision-maker, so we have to find out the real information to provide to the people. The Information Minister added that the spokesperson can’t hinder the reporters to speak out, but we have to explain them about the real thing, but in some case the truth can’t reveal to them too. He also emphasized that the spokesperson has to work around the clock and seven day per week to dig out or find out news.
The second training course for the spokespersons from the government ministries and institutions as well as from provinces and municipality across the countries will be held from July 13 to 17.
