MRC Member Countries Agree to Sustainably Develop the Mekong River



Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen was warmly greeted yesterday at Phnom Penh International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sar Kheng, Minister of Interior, upon his arrival from the attending the First Mekong River Commission Summit in Thailand from April 4-5.

Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology H.E. Lim Kean Hor holds a press conference yesterday at Phnom Penh International Airport after returned from accompanying Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to attend the First Mekong River Commission Summit in Thailand from April 4-5.

On the occasion, H.E. Lim Kean Hor told the press that China still rejects to join a membership of Mekong River Commission, but it pledged to continue the good cooperation with the commission. The minister added that the summit has mainly focused on how to better develop the Mekong basin of the four countries for the sustainable development.
