The National Program for Sub-National Democratic Development

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen addresses the audiences in Phnom Penh yesterday while he was presiding over the launching ceremony of the National Program for Sub-National Democratic Development (2010-2019) with the participations of senators, lawmakers, senior government officials from all ministries, institutions, provincial and municipal governors, foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations to Cambodia.

In his keynote speech, Premier Techo Hun Sen said the success in the implementation of the national program is completely depending on the methods and the active participations of all relevant partners.

Concerning Cambodian-Thai border issue, Samdech Techo Hun Sen has appealed to hold an international conference to help solve the border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand. Prime Minister Hun Sen’s comment came a day after he wrote to UN’s Security Council President Vitaly Churkin, and UN’s General Assembly President Ali Abdussalam Treki to inform them that Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has threatened to use military force to resolve the border issue.

Premier Techo Hun Sen called on an international conference which will include ASEAN member countries, UN’s Security Council, International Court of Justice and Paris Accord’s country members.
